48 of ‘em!
from my best daughter EVER
chuck, sara and julia went off to explore and doc and i slept in then went to see the monarch butterflies. it was early yet, as there were only a few there in the sanctuary. the majority of them (by the millions!!) come in round thanksgiving time. we did see a few, however:
when doc lived here 25 years ago, he, linda and the kids lived in seaside, just outside of monterey, so we went there to see the house they used to live in.
which now has a second story!!
we had checked out of the inn, so later we met chuck and sara and julia back at fisherman’s wharf for lunch (fish & chips and clam chowder) and walked around shopping a bit.
at low tide that evening, we all went to lover’s point to check the tide pools. it was bittersweet as i knew it would be the last adventure this trip with my sweetheart, who was due to fly out tonight.
we all left and went over to the monterey hostel for julia and i to check in as this is where we are staying tonght. chuck and sara are going back to alameda to catch their flight home. chuck, sara, and julia left to go to cannery row and it was time to take doc to the airport :o( .
saying goodbye was really sad, yep
i love love you
see you in 6 or 7 weeks
this was the best birthday – ever
