damon’s art then on to monterey

today damon and stacey & the kids took us to the museum where damon’s are is on display. his work is incredible!!! here is an article in the local paper about the show.  he paints awesome pictures of faces and places around alameda.  i wish i’d taken pictures of his work to share, but did not bring the camera. 

we spent a really nice day at the museum and walking around alameda halloween shopping for julia’s costume pieces.  she is going as the white rabbit.  we got most of her costume at thrift and vintage shops in santa cruz, but she was lacking a pocket watch.  we though we might find a big flava flav type clock, and we did, but it had too much bling.  stacey said she had an old white alarm clock, so julia decided to use that.

we went back to their place after hot dogs, and i got my stuff together for my ride to monterey.  the best boyfriend ever missed his flight due in tonight, so i will have to wait patiently for his arrival tomorrow (!!)

leaving alameda in the middle of rush hour and a bridge out (as in broken) is not recommended.  it took forever, but knowing i had a nice big bathtub waiting for me made the trip not so bad.

arriving at the centrella inn waas like coming home.  it was late, i’d gotten there just before the desk closed, and they were waiting for me :o) i got the keys, got to our room, and filled the deep, claw foot bathtub!! after a nice (very) hot bath, i snuggled in the cozy bed.  goodnight monterey, and thanks.
