happy veterans day to my dad and the best boyfriend ever & all of the veterans out there. thank you for your service!
today, julia and i went to the grand canyon. it’s a biggun! (here is a link to my youtube channel where you can see a video of the canyon. and here is another one. ) it was overcast, as you see in the pictures, and at the elevation there (7-8000 ft!!) we felt a little ill. a few days ago, in southern california, we were BELOW sea level, now we are at +7000 ft. quite an elevation change! elevation sickness can cause you to feel dizzy, get a head and tummy ache. it is similar to car sickness in a way. we rode around on the tour bus and saw a lot of it, got out and walked around a bit and took pictures, then went back to the car and are now back in flagstaff, thanks ewpl.
tomorrow, we are new mexico bound to albuquerque (another 300+ miles day). we wont be taking a left at albuquerque, as that would be taking us north, and we are heading east (!!) technically on our way home.
