saying goodbye, driving away, my bunnynina, and Sundance

ive not posted in over a month.

ive simply been crazy busy getting the apartment vacated, and cleaned. bleh.

saying goodbye was harder than i thought it would be. when, as a manager of a building, you grow to truely care about your "residents", they become neighbors. you just happen to be able to know all of them. we had a resident appreciation get together last wedensday. it was incredable, yep! i was so happy to see neighbors getting to know each other. good times. i was proud of my building and the residents there. sometimes living in the city helps us forget what being a neighbor feels like. i feel lucky to be turning over a property that is so sweet to such a great new manager. caroline, you are very lucky, yep.

so car loaded, drop half the gear and julia over her dad's. double check the bike rack. dont ask.

drove 50 mph all the way to serena's to spend my last night with bunbun. she will be loved and cherished there. she wasnt so sure about it, but i believe she will do just fine. thanks, sister!

made it to Sundance yesterday afternoon. relaxed at the farmhouse yesterday night, put even more things in storage. you all should see the impressive pack-fu that the best boyfriend ever has! its beyond impressive.

spent the morning food shopping and a tobacco run to berkley springs, with patty. it feels so great to help out.

this afternoon, i did my first sweat. the Sundance folks are so sweet and gracious. it will be a high honor for me to be in their service this week. the sweat was hot indeed, but it was so good. willie poured and songs were sung, prayers offered, and pipe smoked. afterwards, i stood with my arms outstretched as the wind blew over the top of the hill and bathed me in its cool whispers. someone said, "now you know why some folks become sweat junkies". yes, i can understand that.

helped the ladies in the kitchen, feeding the Sundance folks. it's hot as hell, an im not talking about the sweat lodge. but the company is great, and i havent felt this good since i cant remember when.

i will be in service to the Standing Bear crew for the duration of the Sundance. i may not be back to post, but in a week, i will be on my way back to washington to tie up some loose ends, have game night with my bff, my hardee, & the best boyfriend ever, get julia, visit some crazy kids in new jersey :o) and be back to 4q for Stones.
