samhain blessings & happy halloween!!
woke up oh so rested and had a nice full hot breakfast in the dining room.
i arrived at the (teeny!!) monterey airport a little early because i really didnt know what time the flight would be in. doc had said prolly round noon (i think). as it turned out, the flight was delayed 2 1/2 hours in los angeles. i hung around the airport waiting and he called to let me know what time he thought the plane would be in.
sit sit sit…im so excited!!
then, there he is!! the best boyfriend ever, travel weary walking right into my arms! whew!! what a sight for sore eyes, i gotta tell ya!
we drove back to the inn to offload his gear, and take a little rest. then we walked down to lover’s point, just a few blocks away. it was low tide and we saw some really cool tide pools with starfish and other marine goodies (forgot camera – grrr) and found lots of little seashells for my souvenir collection. walking back to the inn with my tiny seashells in my hand, i feel something moving around, and yep! it was a hermit crab hahahah.
then, we caught a cab to cannery row. we stopped at the chocolate shop, and doc was like…a kid in a candy shop :o)
not forgetting the trick or treaters we saw wandering around, he filled his pockets with chocolate coins to give out – what fun!
later in the evening, we met this flute guy, and got some cd’s autographed
out of candy!!? back to the candy shop!
then, down to the beach. the water. OMG its SO clean, and the sand is like sandbox play sand, so soft and clean. i do love monterey, yep.
let’s go get a drink..where? sly mcfly’s of course!
we met a really cool guy there, his name was – derek (too!) as it turned out, we saw him often this night and other nights around monterey :o)
hey, you hungry? sure let’s eat! at bubba gump’s! right!?
we wandered around cannery row checking out the shops and galleries. this one is for you, honey:
then back to sly mcfly’s, then back to the beach, then to this cheezy but really fun karaoke bar. makes me want to go to karaoke bars when i get home, truely.
once back to the beach to say goodnight to the birds (here is a video that was too big to post), then home to cuddle in very nicely ;o)
