we left ontario this morning, travelling west on rt 20 through some really nice rolling mountains, and crossed into pacific time zone!!. we found this interesting sign on the potty at the rest stop --------->
at the moment, all blog posts have been updated (!!) thanks to the harney county library in burns, or.
the librarians have been very nice here. while writing, ive overheard some of the locals talk about snow moving in (!!), so i took the map over to the librarian and she helped me figure a route towards crater lake to hopefully avoid the snow. then, i checked the weather forecast for the direction we are going and there is snow ahead. seems it will only be in the higher elevations (+4500 ft), and since crater lake is at 6,173 ft and i checked their live web cam, and it’s already snowing there, i guess we will miss it this trip.
recalculating our trip will take us north via rt 20 to bend, or, where i suspect we will spend the night tonight. (point A to point B) the rest of the trip to grants pass tomorrow will prolly be like this (point B to point C):
