we drove to arcata and found a place to park right at the “plaza” arcata is an intense hippie town, and i guess we were expecting something a little different that we found there. many folks were very rude, and most were clicqueish. it was very strange. i wasnt feeling myself, so we asked some kids in a schoolbus where was a good place to car camp. they directed us to the parking area over by the park on the other side of town. we went there, and slept. cant wait to leave in the morning.
